Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with agency counterparts throughout defined projects, explaining methods at appropriate level, anticipating and explaining risks and blockers, communicating data sourcing inefficiencies
  • Set up / audit / refactor client API workspaces (e.g., building testing suites and pipelines)
  • Develop ETL solutions leveraging various cloud technologies and third-party tools (i.e., writing an internal Python tooling package for data orchestration)
  • Work with the data engineer to design, build, and optimize the data architecture and estimated time to launch pipelines to make accessible for end users that enable self-service consumption
  • Write and review end-user and technical documents (e.g., requirements and design documents, future data systems, data standards, policies)
  • Contribute to a highly collaborative analytics team with brainstorming, peer reviews, and knowledge transfer to increase consistency of deliverables and repeatability of solutions (i.e., writing an internal R tooling package for analysts to use)
  • Develop and communicate strong opinions about best practices in Analytics Engineering


Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years experience in digital marketing consulting
  • Experience using Google Cloud Platform for data automation (Big Query, Google Cloud Functions, Airflow, etc)
  • Experience with leveraging third-party tools and APIs for data warehousing
  • Experience applying data in Google Marketing Platform (Paid/Social, Email, CRO)
  • Experience working with Google web analytics data (raw BQ export)
  • Demonstrated advanced SQL skills and intermediate Python skills
  • Experience preparing and analyzing data to provide actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Interest or education in data science, certifications and degrees a plus
  • Experience with Javascript a plus
  • Proven critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Passionate about data and software engineering
  • Ready to be part of a tight-knit, growing team; ambitious, can work independently as well as collaboratively and possess interpersonal skills
  • Articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner, both in speech and writing; understand the audience and tailor messages accordingly
